Spent 2 days at the Goebel’s summer lake house in Neuruppin.
Quaint. Quiet. Calm.

Satzkorn is a village in Potsdam, from the state of Brandenburg in Germany. On an unpretentious piece of land, the unconventional couple built their summer palace.

“Tibetchapi” is my nickname for Tibet and the city of Tehachapi in Kern County, California. Why, you may ask? Hidden in the folds of the Tehachapi Mountains lies the vast compound of Ari Bhöd, “The American Foundation for Tibetan Cultural Preservation.”

During our last visit, we were greeted by the neighboring goats and our favorite feline resident of Ari Bhöd, Elliot. He is the unofficial guardian of the grounds and our little red cabin. The monks will be returning this summer and we look forward to visiting with them again.
